Solihull Councillor Linda Brown writes about the Royal Mail postal service:
I have a special interest in the Post Office since I worked for them from 1971 to 1989 and only left because of the interference by the Tory government and fears for our service.
It has taken them a while (all of them) to get rid of this jewel in the crown but they are about to do it. I wonder who will deliver to the rural areas which are the drain on the service? Not TNT or any other foreign firm who takes it over.
I am disgusted with the people who rule this country and it says something about the education system when we cannot educate people to be good managers of firms.
If we studied the 19th Century and the Quaker/Protestant ethics we might get our true morals and standards back.
